This course has been designed for beginners in the animal healthcare field. Upon completion of the course the student will have basic knowledge of the anatomy, nutrition, and behaviour of the horse, pig, cow, sheep and goat. They will develop a basic understanding of veterinary diseases, especially zoonotics, and students will learn the importance of proper restraint and safety around large animals. Prerequisite: Vet Terminology and Basic Animal Husbandry. Textbook required.
