Psychology is an academic discipline that is concerned with all aspects of human existence, focusing in particular upon human thought, emotion and action. Through class assignments and discussions, students in this course have an opportunity to apply knowledge from psychological theories and research to their own lives and growing understanding of their world. This will include, among others, a consideration of practical applications of theory and research that is relevant to student success at college and their daily lives. Textbook required. NOTE: This course has mandatory chats. *NOTE: Students wanting to register for a General Education course as part of their certificate or diploma program should make sure to receive formal approval from their Program Coordinator. It should be noted that some general education courses are too close to the vocational specializations of specific programs and are therefore excluded as an option for students. It’s therefore important to receive formal approval before registration.
