Remote Sensing [CSMO24]   

his course provides students with an overview of sensing systems including aerial photography, multi spectral scanning, radar, and thermography. The imagery generated by these systems is compared in terms of its temporal, spatial, spectral and radiometric resolution, and the suitability of each system for particular purposes.  Using Digital Imaging software, processing techniques for enhancing, correcting and classifying Landsat multi spectral scanner data are introduced. Mandatory Chats are optional. Prerequisite: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems Textbook Recommended.

Software required: The required program is ArcGIS Pro, which is available for download at no additional cost through the course. ArcGIS Pro can only be installed on Windows-based computers.
