In this course, students will take a comprehensive look at children's wellness in a child care setting addressing health, safety and nutrition. Strategies for maintaining a healthy and safe child care environment will be presented. Accessories, behaviours and conditions for safety risk in both indoor and outdoor environments will be examined. Emphasis will be placed on healthy nutrition and activity for children. Textbook required.
