The Role of Assessment Instruments in Career Counseling (CSFA75)

This course will provide an overview of the purpose, principles and correct practices of assessment and testing. The student will have the opportunity to develop skills in the application of descriptive and inferential statistics to the field of employment counseling. Students will have the opportunity to examine the procedures for using and interpreting data using a variety of tests/tools. The ethics, limitations and cautions of administering standardized tests will be discussed. Students will set new learning goals for continued professional development in the use of assessment instruments. Textbook required.
