This option is for those who completed training in ABA that covers all the RBT task list, was taught by a BCBA or BCaBA, and was completed within 180 days. For example, students who have taken the Autism & Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate, and received their instruction from BCBA or BCaBA instructors, meet this criteria. You will show your knowledge by completing the module quizzes and then a competency assessment will follow.
Prerequisites/Minimum Requirements: Each candidate for competency assessment will be required to submit all of the following documentation:
• Resume.
• CPIC form (or comparable policy record check from for your jurisdiction).
• Letter of proof of completion of a 40 hour RBT training program.
• Name of BCBA Supervisor who will be supervising work as an RBT.
• A written submission that states the names of past/current clients, the number of hours you provided interventions per client, methodologies used per client, and a contact name who can verify all of the above.
