A very exciting and enjoyable program for all levels. Students develop wheel throwing and hand building techniques including pinch pots, slab and coil building. They will use these techniques to create mugs, bowls, art pieces and a wide variety of objects.
Students expand their unique style to create their own statement as a ceramicist. Those with basic knowledge of ceramic techniques will experiment and develop their individual approaches and personal aesthetic expressions in clay. With the guidance of the instructor, students will identify the form and/or decorative techniques they wish to explore in-depth. All levels welcome, including beginners.
In this ceramics course featuring rustic organic designs, students will explore the beauty of imperfect shapes using clay, underglaze, glaze, and slip. Intermediate and advanced levels are welcome.
Enjoy this time to make functional, or non-functional pieces for gift giving and in time for this Christmas, or other occasions such as birthdays and weddings. This session will focus on making a nice set of mugs, plates, a coffee dripper, incense holder and pots. With your handy work, you can touch someone’s heart. Demonstrations at the beginning of each project provide a step-by-step view of the process. Intermediate and advanced levels are welcome.
