This course is aimed at the intermediate or professional artist who is looking for inspiring ways to create a painting by not using the customary flat surface, we have come to know and appreciate. Referencing examples of work created within the last century, students will gain a new appreciation for and develop an understanding that a ‘successful’ painting can have less than four sides.
Students will explore explosive color pallets and a combination of techniques and simplification of subject matter while focusing on non-objective subjects or objective art (students choice).
Join us as we paint flowers with watercolour on rice paper to build on your creative activities on your art journey. Rice paper is thin and absorbent and also known as Asian painting paper. We will move from basic painting techniques practice to creating projects. Supplies are included in the course fee. If you want multiple colours, you can bring your watercolour paints too. Check out MSKH ART on Youtube for examples of this delicate technique.
