Micro-credentials are short, competency-based training opportunities that focus on “in demand” workplace skills and provide real-world learning experiences. Courses are developed in consultation with industry experts so that the specific skills and relevant competencies that are assessed meet the needs of employers.
Courses can be taken on their own or as part of a series to earn badges that demonstrate your competencies. The micro-credential is issued in the form of a digital badge, that identifies the skills required to earn the badge. Digital badges can be shared with employers and on social platforms to enhance your profile, resume and portfolio. Multiple micro-credentials may serve as pathways to other St. Lawrence College programs.
